Who and what is STOIO?

STOIO is a Flemish Research Organisation, acknowledges by the Flemish Government as an organisation for research that is relevant to governance. The organisation has been active since 2007 and will be until 2011.

This organisation started in 2001 as the Research Organisation for Entrepreneurship, Companies and Innovation (STOOI, 2001-2006). The renewed organisation is slightly different. Given the experience of the three schools envolved (Ghent University, Catholic University of Leuven and Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School) have gained in cooperating around the theme entrepreneurship and the synergies and trust that have come forth, it went without saying to set up a new consortium for STOIO between Ghent University, Catholic University of Leuven and Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.
